Legacy Giving Advisor, Health Care Foundation for Ventura County

Catherine Kort facilitates positive change as a professional fundraiser, certified coach and trainer. For three decades, she has experienced success developing and growing fundraising programs for statewide and local social services and health and human services agencies impacting children and families. Very recently, Ms. Kort assumed leadership for a 30 million dollar campaign and legacy program for world-class botanical gardens in Santa Barbara, and a project to diversify funding streams in support of Ventura County's Health Care Agency, a billion dollar enterprise. During COVID, she achieved success as the first Leadership & Legacy Giving Officer for CALM, known for treating and preventing childhood trauma. She branded and launched the agency's legacy society more than doubling the number of known planned gifts.

Ms. Kort resides in Ventura, California, volunteers as a facilitator for the Center for Non-Profit Leadership at Cal Lutheran University, and serves on the board for the AFP Santa Barbara/Ventura County Chapter.
